Introduction: How to Play Airsoft
a general guide to airsoft and corresponding rules
Step 1: Location
You have to understand that %90 of the public is uneducated about airsoft. Each person will lean either way, real life threat, or a toy gun. So you should find a place out of the general public, public wood, no private land.
Now, your area has to be classified as feild, CQB or skirmish. A feild battle would be generally long distance, higher power guns (350-500fps) CQB or skirmish would be "close quarter battle" or a skirmish, generally quick close range fights.
Step 2: Players
Age is one of the most important parts of the game, generally from ages 10-50. But with the younger ages you have to understand its really only completely suitable for ages of about 15-50 I should say.
You do want to have to have reliable and devoted players, without this you never have any guarantee of having enough members. Just be shore you can trust them, that's all.
Step 3: Guns
Airsoft Gun Class-
Spring:
Usually quite powerful, but single shot (cock then shoot)
Pistols, Rifles, and commonly used sniper rifles (spring)
AEG:
High prised, depending on what you pay you can get up to about 450
fps with upgrades, usually these guns are plastic, with about %30
metal parts. Also these guns are fully automatic, or semi, even burst fire.
powered by electric, battery
Gas:
Usually 350-450 fps, powered by green, or red gas, HFC-34, or even co2.
Normally only found in pistol, but very acurate, and are priced from $50-$300
Step 4: Damage
You might be wondering how much these guns heart (pain)? Here is a chart:
Step 5: Legal Issues
laying airsoft is legal in most parts of the world, but not all. Some countries have specific restrictions [9] such as maximum muzzle velocity, aka FPS (feet per second) rules against using the trademarks of real firearms, and 'unrealistic' coloring as to distinguish them from actual firearms. They are legal throughout the U.S, but restrictions exist in certain cities such as Camden, NJ, Newark, NJ, Chicago, IL, and Detroit, MI. The states of New Jersey, Illinois, New York and Michigan do, however, do not allow airsoft guns to be used and handled publicly because of the striking resemblance to real firearms, although Federal and State laws regard airsoft guns as toys. Also orange tip on the muzzle of your gun is required by US law.

how much would a good sniper cost?machine gun ?handgun?rifle?i really like your istructable

A REALLY good sniper can cost well over $400, but a decent one can be around 100, Good (long range) machine guns can cost around 100 bucks (I have the crossman pulse r76 which is an AK and it is AWESOME) a short range crappier AR can cost from 20-50 dollarsm but keep away from the 10 dollar mini rifles, unless you just want a close quarter battle where nobody gets hurt :p) A MEDIUM quality to GOOD quality handgun can cost from 20-60 dollars. I'm fine with spring-shot handguns, but if you're willing to spen 20 more dollars, you can get a nifty (wow I said nifty) CO2 powered handgun, which is more realistic, semi auto, and better range. A rifle usually is the same as a sniper rifle, but you could also classify it as a spring pistol on steriods. Some companies make auto guns spring guns for the people on a tighter budget. They cost from 20 bucks to 500 bucks generallly. And for a minigun? the echo airsoft minigun is 3500 US dollars. It runs on a motorcycle battery XD LMG's can cost up well over 4000 dollars. expensive stuff sometimes

Hello, I would say for a decent sniper (well MB03 or equivalent) you can get one for about $70-$100. The sniper I have the Well MB-05 will be about $200, however, you get 500 fps, better accuracy and a better overall product. Its the same with the others, For a good AEG: probably anywhere from $200 (classic army or jin Gong) to $1200 (systema or equivalent) handgun, It depends on which type, there are springers ($20-$50), Electric ($20-$200) and there are gas ($40-$300) I will say, I have a gas (Co2) pistol I got for about $80 and It is wonderful, It is accurate, heavy, and feels great, it shoots around 350-380 fps. and for a full blown machine gun, LMG, They are fairly uncommon especially with beginners but they will run anywhere from $500-$3000. I hope this helped --- B.R.E.A.C.H Team Airsoft captain.

Uhh... you don't hunt with plastic bbs (not that i know of) metal bbs is what you hunt with, a bb gun that you hunt with is normally called an air gun and is only used for hunting and target practice
