Hummingbird Nectar

Directions for making safe hummingbird nectar:

1. Mix 1 part sugar (I use Domino® Quick Dissolve Superfine Sugar)

2. Sugar to 3 parts HOT water, (I used bottled… because I don’t drink tap
water so why should God’s natures friends)! Mix until sugar is dissolved.

3. Extra sugar water may be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Note: Please DO NOT add Red dye!!! I truly love watching birds, but the humming birds here seem to not like sharing... they’re feeding territories and they drive away intruders! If one of a hummingbird is at the feeder and another hummingbird approaches the first one squeaks an chases the other one off.

FYI: Bees also love the nectar, connotation… YUMMY honey!!!
