Introduction: Hunter's Bracelet

In honor of this years spring turkey season, I think I will make another paracord instructable, this one on how to make a hunter's bracelet out of paracord and .22 shells. Let's get started.

Step 1: Materials

You will need: two 6 foot lengths of paracord (flatten one end of both cords); 1, 5/8 inch buckle; scissors; a lighter; a drill with a 3/16 drill bit; a file; and .22 shells( drill a 3/16 hole in the butt of them, and then file the butt end smooth).

Step 2: Tying the Cord to the Buckle

1.Heat up one end of both cords until they are liquid. Stick the two ends together and let them cool. Try to make the knot where you fused the cords together a little bit smaller than I did. Mine is uncomfortable to wear because of this.
2. Run the other ends through the top of one side of the buckle, and then run them back through the loop that you created. Tighten. This knot is called a cow's hitch.
3.Take the ends of the cords and run them through the top of the other side of the buckle, and measure your wrist.

Step 3: Starting the Bracelet

Choose the color that you want the center of the bracelet to be. cross it over the center strands. Do the basic cobra weave, but when you get to the third crossover, slide a .22 shell up the crossover cord butt first, and then finish the knot. Do this every 3 knots, and alternate ends of the shells every time.

Step 4: Finishing

When you get to the end of the bracelet, snip and singe the two cord ends. You are done! I used 13 .22 shells for this bracelet, but if you make yours longer or shorter, you might have to use a couple more or a couple less.
