Introduction: Hydraulic Brake System

A hydraulic brake is an arrangement of braking mechanism which uses brake fluid, typically containing glycol ethers or diethylene glycol, to transfer pressure from the controlling mechanism to the braking mechanism.

Materials needed :

  1. Wood piece
  2. 1 DC mortar
  3. A switch
  4. connecting wires
  5. 1 CD
  6. 2 syringes
  7. pipe
  8. batteries

Step 1: Step:1 Installing Mortar, Battery and Switch

Take a small piece of wood. Cut it to size on 15 cm x 20 cm size. cut 2 wood pieces 1 pieces for DC mortar install it as shown in the image and another wood to install rare braking support and for switch. Take ah CD and take a pulley for mortar and attach it ti the CD and connect it to the mortar. Take a switch, battery and wires and connect the battery (+) terminal with red wire another end to switch. from switch to mortar. Take the (-) from the mortar to the (-) terminal of battery. Turn it on and check mortar.

Step 2: Step: 2 Installing Syringes As Hydraulic

Take 2 syringes and connect each other to needle hub as shown in the images with pipe and take some water in syringes. fix it as shown in the pictures. Turn on the mortar and press the syringe plunger and you see the other plunger which is fixed near to the CD as brake will brake the disk and hence it stops. This is a simple experiment to show how a hydraulic braking system works.
