Introduction: IJDMTOY Subaru JDM LED Rear Fog Light Installation

About: Everything about automotive LED lights

The Subaru WRX is a car enthusiast's dream, and can be easily built to one's personal specifications. Car lighting fans would be pleased with the set of 3-in-1 Subaru WRX LED Rear Fog Light with triple functions, including brake light mode, tail light mode, and reverse light mode. This fresh installation gives your Subaru a brand new look and the multi-functions let everyone behind you know exact what you are trying to maneuver.

Step 1:

This is a very helpful video walk through by user AzuluzA on how to install the JDM rear fog light on a Subaru WRX. Installing the iJDMTOY LED rear fog lamp version is the same concept.

Step 2:

When you get to the part on wiring up your new LED rear fog light/backup light, you will notice there are several wires as well as a 7440 harness for installation.

The side of the assembly with the 7440 harness is to be installed facing downward.

Step 3:

For the harness, tap the red wire to the existing tail light positive and the black wire to the ground or taillight negative.

Step 4:

There are two extra wires behind the LED rear fog light (red/white). Tap red wire to brake light positive to activate brake light and tap white wire to backup reverse light positive to activate reverse lights.

Step 5:

Fit the bracket included in the package onto the LED rear fog light and then mount the new Subaru LED rear fog light exactly the same way as you would the OEM version.

This is how you attach the bracket onto the Subaru LED rear fog light:

Insert the screws into the openings that are diagonal from each other. Secure the screws. Then take the fastener clip and attach it to the side of the bracket that is facing towards the driver side.

You will not need to attach a clip onto the passenger side of the bracket.

Step 6:

Test to make sure everything works and enjoy your new Subaru LED 4th brake light.
