IKEA ALARM CLOCK HACK- FROM TABLE TO WALL !

First: excuse and forget my future mistakes.I write with the help of a traslator of google, so my mistakes are it's mistakes. :-)

Well I needed a silent wall clock, so my choise fell on VIKIS from IKEA, but Vikis isn't a wall clock ...it is for a table!
My brain starts to work and vikis start to run around on my hands.

I start with cutting the rear part , look the design...

Ho deciso, dopo 7 anni di aggiungere anche la spiegazione in Italiano...

Bene, avevo bisogno di un orologio da muro silenzioso, così la mia scelta è ricaduta su VIKIS da IKEA, ma Vikis non è un orologio da muro...è per il tavolo!

Il mio cervello ha iniziato a lavorare e Vikis ha iniziato a ruotare tra le mie mani.

Sono partito tagliando la parte posteriore, vedi il disegno...

Step 1: After First Cut

After first cut you must refine the clock with sand paper, and remove the metallic plate from the other piece you have obtained.

Dopo il primo taglio devi rifinire la sveglia con la carta abrasiva, e rimuovere la piastra metallica dall'altro pezzo che hai ottenuto.

Step 2: Second Cutting

Well, on the plastic plate we must execute other two cut and one engraving, the engraving must be done at 1cm from side, the first cut at 23mm from the engraving ( to accept the alarm when all is done ) and the last cut where was the metallic plate.
The part you must push is the front piece, that remain down the bottom of display.

Bene, sulla piastra di plastica dobbiamo eseguire altri due tagli e un'incisione, l'incisione deve essere eseguita a 1 cm dal lato, il primo taglio a 23 mm dall'incisione (per accettare la sveglia quando tutto è finito) e l'ultimo taglio dove era la piastra metallica.
La parte che devi spingere è il davanti, che rimane sul fondo del display.

Step 3:

Now you need a bicomponent epossidic glue, I used the gray type.
With help of paper tape you mask the edges to avoid dirty. Put , with pacience , the glue in the angle ( see picture)

Ora hai bisogno di una colla epossidica bicomponente, ho usato il tipo grigio.
Con l'aiuto del nastro di carta si mascherano i bordi per evitare di sporcarsi. Metti, con pazienza, la colla nell'angolo (vedi foto)

Step 4:

We almost finished...
Cut from the piece number 3 ( see step 2 and 3 ) the side parts and attacks with glue.

Abbiamo quasi finito ...
Taglia dal pezzo numero 3 (vedi punto 2 e 3) le parti laterali e attaccale con la colla.

Step 5: We Are Finished !

With a biadhesive you can place where you like your new wall ikea clock !
