Introduction: IR Sensor Based Automatic Dustbin
Hello Everyone I Am Pradhumya
Today I Have Made An Automatic IR Sensor Dustbin
Components Required :-
- IR Sensor
- Cardboard
- Servo Motor
- Arduino UNO
- Dustbin
Step 1: Making the Lid
1.First take a cardboard and cut it according to the dustbin's dimension and size to make a lid.
2.Cut the lid in to 2 halves , then join Them Together with tape on the upper side. to use it as a hinge
Advise :-
Use thin but stiff cardboard to cut lid easily and get good finishing.
Step 2: Attatching the Lid to Dustbin
1.Now fix the one half of the lid to the dustbin's mouth
(Note:- Don't fix the both halves to the dustbin otherwise lid wont open)
Step 3: Cuircuitry
We Have Built The Structure and it's time to make the circuit
You can see the above circuit image , It has been kept at backside of the dustbin and not visible from front.
Now attach the IR sensor on movable half of the lid.
Step 4: Attaching the Servo
First put the servo on lid's half which is not movable.
make a hole on movable half of the lid, Connect a thick copper wire to the gear of the servo and attach the movable lid with wire through the hole and tie a bolt at the end of the wire
