IRON SPIKER: the Bluetooth Speaker Entirely Made of Tetra Pak

It's a portable and compact bluetooth speaker, built by reusing old speakers components and matching them to an external structure in tetra pak

Supplies

It's made with easily available materials:

• tetra pak packaging
• internal components from the mini speaker: "New Science"
• old speaker grid
• glue gun
• pair of scissors
• pencil
• ruler

Step 1: Cut the Tetra Pak Packaging Into Equal Squares

Use a sheet of tetra pak packaging to draw and cut up 19 equal squares of 7.3 cm each.

Step 2: Folding

Follow the images to fold each square:

1-2 Fold each square in half

2-3 Join one acute-angle vertex to the right-angle one, following the dotted line

3-4 Repeat the same process with the other acute angle vertex

5 Open the two parts to obtain the triangle

6 Fold the right-angle vertex towards the opposite side

7 Lift up one of the two small triangles

8 Insert the other small triangle inside the structure

Step 3: Joining of Shapes to Create Each Module

Make 4 equal figures with the same method shown before and attach the different parts of each shape using the glue gun with a joint connection. Repeat the process for every figure to obtain a final module.

Step 4: Create the Base of the Speaker

Draw the circumference of the control base of the speaker onto one square and cut through, then attach the base to the tetra pak piece with hot glue.

Step 5: Attach Together Two Modules

Connect the modules with the glue just as the video shows.

Step 6: Attach the Base to the Structure

Cut the corner pieces off the module using the scissor and join the base with the electronic components with hot glue.

Step 7: Create a Middle Part for Protection and Sound Expansion

Create a protective pierced square to be placed inside the structure; fold the corner pieces and glue them to the modules.

Step 8: Add a New Level to the Structure

Cut again the corner pieces off another module and attach them to the structure to enhance its dimension.

Step 9: Add the Final Level to the Structure

Add a new level to the frame with the same method showed in step 5.

Step 10: Add the Finish Grid to the Speaker

Draw the circumference of the grid onto a square piece, cut the shape, stick the grid inside and fix it on top of the figure with hot glue, then use the scissor to refine the corner's shape.
