  1. Parallel: run old and new IT systems alongside each other.
  2. Direct: shut down the old IT system completely and start the new one right away.
  3. Phased: shut down the old IT system in stages while starting the new one in stages at the same time.
  4. Pilot: implement the new IT system completely in one part of the organization for some time. After it is confirmed as functional, the new IT system is rolled out to the rest of the organization.
