Idiots Guide to Death Note

Ok, first of... Death Note owns. The problem is, is that people just don't understand how the series works. Witch for some people I understand. It is a long and complex series. Not to worry. That is were I come in. if I didn't explain something well enough you can always e-mail me at [e-mail]

Step 1: The Death Note

This Note book can kill someone. I will explain that in the next step.

Step 2: The Rules.

These are the rules of the Death Note.

The human whose name is written in this note shall die.
This note will not take effect unless the writer has the person's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.
If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of e heart attack.
After writing the cause of death, details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

Also you can write someone's name down and control their actions. For example.

Jon Brown suicide stabs himself in the heart five times dies at 1:00 PM Saturday May 15 2008.

Step 3: Light Yagami

Light is your typical student. He is a very smart kid. He finds the Death Note, at first like any other human he doesn't think it will work. So out of curiosity he writes down the name of a criminal. 40 seconds later the criminal dies of a heart attack. Astonished Light takes the power of the Death Note to purge the world of evil. He does this by writing down the names of prison inmates, and people wanted by the F.B.I and or the Japanese police. But some people are on to him.

Step 4: L

L is a highly skilled detective. L quickly discovers what Light is doing. Light protects his identity by using the name Kira. L sets up a series of traps for Kira. Light falls for every trick. L discovers that Kira is living in the Kanto region of Japan. and that Kira can kill from a distance. Light decides that he will find L and kill L, and the other way around.

Step 5: Shinigami

Shinigami, otherwise known as "Gods of death" own the Death Notes. "How did Light get a Death Note then?" is probably what you are asking your self. The answer is simple. Ryuk the Shinigami that previously owned the Death Note, dropped the Death Note from the Shinigami relm to the human world. And Light picked it up. The rule is that if a Shinigami drops their Death Note in the human world it belongs to the first human who picked it up. That was Light. So now Ryuk stays with Light until the Death Note is destroyed or he sees Light die. And once you die you cant go to Heaven or Hell. Since Light is the only one that has touched the Death Note, he is the only one that can see or hear Ryuk. If someone else touches the Death Note then they can see Ryuk. Also if you give up ownership of the Death Note then you lose all your memories of the Death Note. But if you come into contact with the same Death Note again, then you regain your memories of when you had the Death Note.

Step 6: The Eye Deal

When a Shinigami and a human come into contact, the Shinigami can offer a deal. Through a Shinigami's eyes you can see someone's name and lifespan floating above that persons head. Witch makes it way easer to use the Death Note. The price for having a Shinigami's eyes is half of that persons remanning life span.

Step 7: NPA

The NPA are the people on the Japanese police task force, trying to capture Kira. Lead by L the people are Madtusda, Mogi ,Ide, Aiwaza, Mogi, and Lights father Siechero Yagami. Light later on joins the task force.

Step 8: Near

Something happens to L witch I cant tell you because it would ruin the entire story. But his successors Near and Mello.(I'll talk about Mello later.) Near sets up a big investigation to find Kira, in the U.S.A.

Step 9: Mello

Mello is pretty much the same as Near. But Near is far smarter than Mello. Mello is so obsessed with catching Kira that he uses Mafia members to black male Light and kidnap his sister in order to obtain information about the Kira case and take the Death Note for himself.

Step 10: Kiomi Takada

Kiomi Takada is Kiras offical spokesperson for the meida. She is also a huge Kira supporter and Light's girlfriend from collage. Kiomi takes orders from Light and sends them to Teru Mikami.

Step 11: Teru Mikami

Teru Mikami, is Kira as well. The task force is suspecting Light to be Kira, so Light gives pages of the Death Note to Mikami. So criminals can keep dying and Light can avoid suspicion.

Step 12: Misa Amenai

Lights wife. She also has a Death Note.
