Introduction: Incredibly Easy Sock Plushie

Hey everyone it's momo and today I'm going to show y'all how to make a cute kawaii plushie. This is a bunny, bear, cat, looking thing. You won't even believe how incredibly easy this is! I hope you guys have fun!

Step 1: Supplies

1- ankle sock
2- needle and thread (black and white)
3- 2 black beads
4- scissors
5- marker
6- cotton balls or wool stuffing

**sorry I don't have an image for this step**

Step 2: Ears

Put your sock inside out and lay it flat like I did. Then take your marker and draw the outline of the ears. Make sure they aren't too far away from the head. (The heel is the head)

Step 3: Sew

Sew along the line you just drew.

Step 4: Cut

Them take the scissors and cut close to the edge along the sewn line. (Make sure you don't cut too close though)

Step 5: Puff That Baby Up!

Now reverse the sock again and stuff the ears very tightly with cotton or wool. Then take a huge handful and jam as much cotton/ wool as you can into the sock.

Step 6: Sew Again

Sew the bottom closed tightly. You can cut the sock a little shorter if. You have a really long one. I don't have a picture of me doing the technique, but scroll down to where I make the arms. That's pretty much the same way.

Step 7: Stubby Arm Balls

Take the extra sock leftover and cut two messy circles out. Sew along the outer edge going in and out. Stuff with cotton/ wool and pull tightly closed.

Step 8: Sew Onto the Body

To sew the arm ball onto the plushie, put one stitch on the body, one stitch on the arm. Keep doing this all the way around until it's tightly on there. Do the same with the other arm ball

Step 9: Eyes

Sew the two black beads on. Make sure they are on (or very close to) the edge of the plushie. You need enough room to put in the mouth without having to squeeze it in there.

Step 10: Mouth

Take the marker again and draw the shape of the mouth you want. I really think the one I used is perfect to complete the whole look of it, but feel free to explore different options. Anyways take the string and go up and down the line. Not going side to side like you did when you were forming the ears, but the opposite side. (Sorry if that's confusing;)

Step 11: Finished!

And that's as Simone as it gets! If you haven't already, follow me, be a momoluver, become a member of the farm family and give a cow it's wings. Love y'all •_£

Step 12: (some Fun Ideas)

These are some pales you could put this little plushie.

Put him on your bed as a little pillow friend.

Put him on your desk or at work.

Put him up on a shelf for all to see your handiwork.

Give him a funny name. Mine's name is either Machiavelli, or Beauregard. I can't choose , they both are really crazy cool names! I think I'll go with Beauregard though :) thanks so much for reading this far if you even did. Love y'all •_£

hi! I love you instructables! i wanna make some of these and give them as random 'i love you's'. I'm a little confused tho ... in the pic where you show the ears stitched and cut around we clearly see the green heel of the sock, but it doesn't seem to be on the final cutie. can you pls clear this up for me so I can give my odd socks a purpose in life xx

This may be a little too late to reply to but, the heel of the sock is being pushed inside the plushie. So in the end, you don't get to see the heel at all because it's inside the plushie. I hope this helps!

Last year, I didn't understand instructables that well, and I'm sure you didn't either. I didn't know I had to give credit if I redid my own tutorial. I appreciate your concern, but if you look at my current instructables, I always give credit when it is not my own tutorial. Thanks ~Momoluv
