Insect Lapel Pins
Intro: Insect Lapel Pins
Turn plastic insect toys into high fashion lapel pins to spice up your wardrobe. You’re sure to look rather fly with these quirky insect lapel pins.
STEP 1: What You'll Need
All you need are a few supplies that include ...
- 2 Preval Sprayers (Home Depot)
- Craft paint
- Toy insects
- Pin backs
- E6000 glue
STEP 2: Prepare the Preval Sprayer
Fill the Preval Sprayer jar with 1.5 oz. of white water-based craft paint and 1 oz. of water.
Cap, shake and attach the spray can.
Next, spray a few layers of the white paint onto the toy insects, allowing them to dry between coats.
STEP 3: Finishing Touches
Next, using the same method, prepare the second Preval Sprayer jar with gold craft paint. Spray a couple of gold paint layers onto the toys.
Let them dry, and then glue the pin backs on using E6000 glue.

These are really cool little pins. I guess you can make just about anything into a pin. Where did you find the pin backs though? I was looking for them all over. Are these decent? http://bit.ly/2a5NC05
