Install Zan/Voxel/Rei's Minimap Minecraft 1.7.10 [EASY]

Just to let everyone know, Voxelmap is the new version of Rei's Minimap and Zan's Minimap. The other mods still exist, byt they are not updated for the newest minecraft version. This mod will work on any server or single-player world, if you have cheats enabled in single-player or if you have the permission to use the /tp command on servers. In this guide I will be showing you how to install Voxelmap on Minecraft 1.7.10 with the required software. Links for downloads are included. Everyone should be able to follow all the steps. High-Quality screenshots will make sure you can understand what I am doing.

Step 1: Going to the Profile Manager Tab

Click on the 'Profile Manager' tab in your Minecraft Launcher.

Step 2: Creating a New Profile

Right-click anywhere inside the profile manager window and select the 'New profile' option.

Step 3: Configuring the New Profile

In the window that pops up, make sure that the minecraft version is set to 'release 1.7.10'. If not, select the option from the drop down menu.

Step 4: Saving the Profile

To save your profile, click on the 'Save' button in the bottom-right corner.

Step 5: Selecting Your Profile

In order to select the profile you have just created, click on the dropdown menu and select your new profile. If you forgot the name, you can go back to the profile manager window and find your new profile in the list. Then you can select the right one in the dropdown menu as shown in the picture.

Step 6: Checking Your Minecraft Version

If you followed the previous steps correctly, you should see that you are running Minecraft 1.7.10 when you press the play button. If not, go back to the previous steps and try again.

Step 7: Downloading the Liteloader Installer

Liteloader is another mod that is needed in order to run Voxelmap. This means that if you do not install Liteloader, your Voxelmap won't work. You can download the Liteloader installer from the official Website: http://www.liteloader.com/download Make sure that you download the 1.7.10 EXE version!

Step 8: Installing Liteloader

To install Liteloader, run the file you have downloaded in the previous step. By default it will be saved in your Downloads folder. Run the file by double clicking on it or right click on it and select 'Run' or 'Open'.

Step 9: Installing Liteloader Into Minecraft

In the installer window, select the 'Install Liteloader (reccomended)' option. and then hit the 'Ok' button.

Step 10: Confirming the Installation

When you have pressed the 'Ok' button, wait for the installation to finish. When the installation has been completed successfully, the following message will show up. You can press the 'Ok' button to close it.

Step 11: Downloading Voxelmap

Before installing voxelmap, you need to download the mod itself. You can download it from the following website: http://www.mediafire.com/download/b5e5kfden8o55lc/mod_voxelMap_1.2.0_for_1.7.10.litemod You need to press the download button to download voxelmap.

Step 12: Navigating to the Mods Folder

Now you need to go to the folder where you will be installing Voxelmap. To do this, you press the windows start button and type %appdata% and then press enter (Win 7 and Vista), or you hold down the windows key and R on your keyboard at the same time and type %appdata% in the box that shows up and press the 'Ok' or 'Run' button.

Step 13: Selecting the .minecraft Folder

In the Windows Explorer window that shows up, you want to open the .minecraft folder by double clicking it or right clicking it and pressing the 'Open' button.

Step 14: Selecting/creating the Mods Folder

You are now in your Minecraft folder. Here all you minecraft data is stored, so be careful and don't mess with anything, unless you know what you are doing. Since we do know what we are knowing, we can just continue. Open the mods folder, or create one by right clicking and pressing the 'New' tab and selecting 'Folder' in the menu that shows up.

Step 15: Installing Voxelmap

In the mods folder you want to paste the Voxelmap file you have downloaded in the previous steps. The voxelmap file will be saved in your downloads folder by default if you lost it. You can always download it again if you really lost it. You can do this by going back to the previous steps.

Step 16: Selecting/creating the Voxelmap Profile

In order to activate Voxelmap, we need to select the right profile. Simply select the 'Liteloader 1.7.10' profile in the list or create one. If there is no Liteloader profile in the list, you need to create one. You can do this by simply pressing the 'New profile' button. In the window that shows up you need to name your Liteloader profile (I named it Liteloader) and select 'release 1.7.10-liteloader1.7.10'. Then you can save your profile. Make sure you select your newly created Liteloader profile when starting minecraft!

Step 17: Testing Your Voxelmap

When starting Minecraft (with the correct profile) and playing on a world, you will see the welcome message and the voxelmap on your screen! This means you have installed Voxelmap Correctly! Press the M key to open the Voxelmap menu!
