My first career was building, selling, and racing 1/4 mile dirt track cars. When my friend Trish decided to take up the sport, i jumped at the chance to build one with her. I'm going to document the process on video, I hope you enjoy learning about racing technology. There are many online resources for learning welding and the other skills involved, and I urge you to seek them out, and post the best ones in the comments.

Nice Videos, What type of car is that you are working on?
My dad used to do some street racing and did a lot of work especial on his ford 427 engine back when he was in his twenties and thirties. You urge people to talk about what they learned and yesterday my dad was reminiscing about his old '73 Gran Torino that had a smashed fuel tank from the previous owner backing over something. Dad went to the salvage yard and picked up a replacement and it wasn't until he had to go back to the yard to get the "longer" tank straps that he realized the take he got was off a police special. and it was a 50gal. fuel tank. He said that him and my uncle drove from Kentucky to Los Vegas only having to stop for gas twice. I know a 50 gal tank wouldn't help much in 1/4 mi. races but still what an awesome modification to a stock car...
