Introduction: Intellio Rover an AI Powered Open CV Audio-Vision Enabled Robot

About: STEMpedia is a place bringing project-making tools at one place- kits, online courses, coding platforms, controller app and tons of free learning resources.

Intellio Rover is a programmable AI rover powered by Quarky Intellio, an ESP32-S3 based AI and AR module with an inbuilt camera, microphone, speaker, and battery. The rover uses LEGO-compatible structural parts, DC motors, and a servo to enable autonomous movement, vision-based detection, and interactive behaviors. It supports block coding and Python, making it suitable for learning robotics, edge AI, and computer vision in makerspaces and classrooms.

Please follow the steps given below to construct Rover Kit

Step 6:

Repeat the same steps on the left side of Frame 7x11 as illustrated.

Step 7:

Insert two Pin 3L’s into T-Shape Beam 3x3 passing it through holes of the DC Motor as illustrated.

Step 8:

Pass the Axle 12L through Bush while passing it through the middle hole of Frame 5x7 as illustrated.

Step 9:

Next, pass the Axle 12L through Double Bevel Gear 20 Tooth by sliding the gear as illustrated.

Step 10:

Now pass it through the opposite middle hole of Frame 5x7 to get the assembly as illustrated.

Step 11:

For the next sub assembly, get the 180° Servo Motor.

Step 12:

Insert the Thin Beam 1x3 in the axle of 180° Servo Motor as illustrated.

Step 13:

Insert a Pin with Hole, pointing upwards, into the front right hole of the 180° Servo Motor with a Pin as illustrated. Kindly ensure the location of mounting as illustrated below.

Step 14:

Repeat the same on the other side of the 180° Servo Motor.

Step 15:

Insert two Double Pin Connector 3L’s in the two Pin with Holes as illustrated.

Step 16:

Now insert two Axle Pin Double Split Connectors into two Double Pin Connector 3L’s with four Pins as illustrated.

Step 17:

Next mount an L-Shape Thin Beam 3x3 in the right corner of the 180° Servo Motor using a Short Pin as illustrated.

Step 18:

Repeat the same on the other side of the 180° Servo Motor as illustrated.

Step 19:

Align and pass the Axle 7L through the corner axle slots of the two L-Shape Thin Beam 3x3’s as illustrated.

Step 20:

Pass and connect an Axle Pin Double Split Connector through the Axle 7L and a Short Pin as illustrated.

Step 21:

Repeat the same on the other side as illustrated.

Step 22:

Insert two Bushes in the two ends of Axle 7L as illustrated.

Step 23:

Slide in the Perpendicular Holes Beam 1x5 as illustrated. Kindly take note of the alignment as illustrated on the top left corner of the illustration.

Step 24:

Secure the Perpendicular Holes Beam 1x5 in the two Axle Pin Double Split Connectors using two Axle 2L’s as illustrated.

Step 25:

Now grab the assembly from Step 10 and insert the sub assembly from Step 24 on the two Pin 3L’s as illustrated below and keep the main assembly aside.

Step 26:

Insert a Bent Beam 1x11 into Frame 5x7 using a Pin and an Axle Pin as illustrated with correct axle alignment.

Step 27:

Repeat the same on the other side of Frame 5x7 as illustrated.

Step 28:

The sub assembly should look as below after the last step.

Step 29:

Slide the sub assembly from Step 28 (last step) as shown on the main assembly. Match the axle holes of the Bent Beam 1x11 and Axle Pin Double Split Connectors as illustrated on the top left corner of the illustration.

Step 30:

Secure the sub assembly with the two Axle Pin Double Split Connectors using two Axle 2L’s as illustrated.

Step 31:

Mount an Axle Pin on a Beam 1x7 in the middle hole and then mount two Pin Connector 3L’s on the Beam 1x7 and Frame 7x11 as illustrated.

Step 32:

On the right side of the main assembly, mount a L-Shape Beam 2x4 using three Pins as illustrated.

Step 33:

Repeat the same on the left side of the main assembly.

Step 34:

Insert an Axle with Stop 4L in the direction of the arrow through the front hole of the right side’s Pin Connector 3L and then proceed to insert a Bush, a ½ Bush, a Wheel with Tire 43mm and a ½ Bush in the sequence as illustrated.
