Introduction: Ipad 2 Holder for Flight Registration at the Airfield
We use an iPad 2 on our airfield to register takeoff and landing time of our gliders.
This frame protects the ipad, and has 2 clips to secure the towing tickets.
Step 1: Adobe Illustrator .ai File
3 layers, one for each sheet:
- plexi 3mm
- MDF 9mm
- plexi 3mm
Also needed:
4 screws (M5x20mm) and bolts.
2 screws M5, length depending on the size of the clips.
Glue to glue the back side plexi to the MDF.
2 clips.

Step 2: Assemble the Layers
Use the glue to attach the back sheet (3mm plexi) to the MDF sheet and let it dry.
When the glue is dry, put the ipad in the holder.
Attach the front sheet (3mm plexi) by using screws and bolts (start with the 4 outer holes)
Step 3: Attach the Clips
Using the 2 remaining holes, you can attach the clips to hold the paperwork. You might need slightly longer bolts here, and some washers to keep them securely fixed.
