Introduction: Jalapeno Popper Sandwich

Step 1: Ingredients

*This is my first Instructable. Please go easy on me!*

A jalapeno popper is basically half a jalapeno pepper filled with cream cheese, breaded and fried.  This instructable is just that, but in sandwich form.

Step 2: Assembling the Sandwich

The sandwich is very easy to assemble.
- Spread cream cheese on both sides of the bread
- Put however much turkey you want on one side.
- Put Jalapeno peppers on the sandwich. Use as many or as few peppers as you want.
Put the sandwich together.
At this point, turn on or plug in the panini press.

Step 3: Grilling the Sandwich

Now, place the sandwich in the panini press. Depending on the heat, the sandwich should take from 3 to 5 minutes. Check the sandwich periodically.  When it is done, use a spatula to lift it out of the panini press and onto a plate.

Step 4: Eat It!

Congratulations! You've just made your own jalapeno popper sandwich!  Make sure you serve it with a big glass of milk!  I had jalapeno cheddar cheetos with mine.

This is a really great idea ! Check out some of my ibles and you'll see I do a lot of cooking with hot peppers, a jar like you showed lasts me a little more than a week on average. This is your sandwich and of course its made to your tastes but Lemon is correct, usually the bread is oiled or buttered when using a press... ok Im back, Im actually out of bread but I did have tortillas, no turkey but some shredded, left over grilled chicken breast worked. Popped it all in the toaster oven... I have to change the 1st part of my comment.... this is a TOTALLY AWESOME idea !

It's nice to brush your bread with oil or butter (outside), and pepper can go well with cheese. I like jalapenos, it must be tasty.

Ah well, I like a bit of fried-crispiness, but either way hot is good.
