Intro: K'NEX Remington R5 RGP (Build)

Derived from the classic AR15, the Remington Defense R5 RGP (Remington Gas Piston) brings a new outlook on the outdated M4 design. With it's video game debut in Call of Duty Ghosts, the Remington R5 is more like a fully automatic sniper rifle than anything else, with its high range and great accuracy.

This K'NEX R5 is true to form with its one-to-one frame, 5.56 magazine width, and great iron sights, this R5 would be a great indoor K'NEX war weapon. Featuring a 15+ round magazine, a pin-guide system, and a modular frame, this is one fun gun to mess around with!

Lets build it!

STEP 1: Left Panel

Pretty self explanatory, check the images for image notes.

STEP 2: Stock Internals

Now we'll be working on the stock, go crazy.

STEP 3: Main Internals

Here are the internal. If you have any questions, just let me know.

STEP 4: The Grip

This is one area where I suggest you do what you want, the grip is only as comfortable as you make it. I made it for looks (as usual) so go crazy.

STEP 5: The Last of the Internals and the Right Panel

Here is where you'll be finishing the main body... Pretty simple.

STEP 6: The Magazine

The magazine is pretty easy, build the internals around the round you want to shoot.

STEP 7: Adding Rubber Bands and Extras

Last step. Follow the pics and/or finish the gun how you want.

i really like how small it is but still has decent range. though i do notice some performance and ammo-related issues

I've just been scrollin' through Instructables all day, looking for a good gun to build, but I don't know where to start. I'm not new to making k'nex guns, but my tech is really outdated. So, where do you think I should start

Well, you know, I don't know. LOL, I'm not much help here. If you want boss guns, look at Blue Mullet 2 or Sharir1701's guns. Two bosses right there.
