Introduction: Kicker Ramp

For skateboarding and bikes, this kicker ramp will be a great way to get air time. Trought different simple machines this kicker ramp achieves the goal of getting into the air. There are several simple machines used in this process, obviously, an inclinedplane, a screw that is the only thing keeping the pieces of wood together, and the last are the wheels on the skateboard or bike.

Supplies

supplies:

1. 1-2 pieces of plywood (32.25 sq feet)

2. 8 2"x4"s

3. 1 1/2" in wood screws

4. 2'x6' sheet metal

5. drill

6. table saw

7. spray paint

Step 1: The Design/outline

Step 1: depending on how big you want your kicker ramp is how much supplies you will need to take. In this project, you will need to cut 8 pieces of plywood into 3 7/8' pieces in length. For the plywood, you will need to cut one piece so that it is 4' by 6' then the next piece so that it's 1 1/2' by 6' then you need to take that piece and cut it diagonally from one corner to the other.

Step 2: Screwing Together

Step 2: When putting this together you want to screw the bottom end pieces on first because this will support the outline of the rest of the project. The diagram I have provided shows the ideal positions for the pieces of wood and places to screw them in. In the next step, you need to take your bigger piece of plywood and place it on the already screwed in 2x4s then simply screw the plywood into the 2x4s. Now place the sheet metal on the edge of the ramp and screw that in.

Step 3: Finishing Touches

Step 3: paint it the way you want and have fun using your new kicker ramp.
