Introduction: Kid-Friendly Broccoli Slaw

About: I’m a self-trained cook, cooking (and blogging about it!) for myself and my husband in our condo. Cue the cozy domesticity!

I hate to waste food. So in this recipe, I'll be showing how to use up the broccoli stems from my previous ible, (https://www.instructables.com/id/Cafe-Style-Broccoli-Feta-Pasta-Salad/), to make a healthy broccoli slaw. I say it’s healthy because broccoli, but the dressing probably isn’t chock full of nutrients. But hey, it’s all about moderation!

I think this would be good to serve to kids. It’s crunchy, covered in dressing, and kids likely won’t notice that it’s broccoli. It tastes pretty much like regular coleslaw, and you get to feel all healthy and virtuous, because broccoli!

Step 1: The Ingredients and How to Make It

Kid-Friendly Broccoli Slaw

  • 2 stems of broccoli
  • 2 tbsp. low-fat coleslaw dressing (creamy)

Grate broccoli stems. Add in dressing and mix. And...done!

Wipe the sweat off your brow and eat that slaw! Crazy easy, right?
