Kindling Firewood Lopper Chopper

Introduction: Kindling Firewood Lopper Chopper

A simple and ergonomic way to cut short lengths of kindling.

Step 1: Secure Loppers to Bench

Firmly secure loppers to a sturdy bench. In this case I've used some right angle brackets and screws.

Step 2: Chop

Place a tub below the loppers. Feed the stick through with one hand while lopping with the other. The sticks I'm cutting are hard eucalyptus. Up to 20mm diameters could be lopped.

D'oh! Why did I not think of this?!?!
I've wrestled with bush trimmings trying to chop them to kindling length and wished for another hand. This is such a brilliant idea! Well done, and thank you for sharing your work :-)
