Introduction: Kitty Litter Bottle Breadboard Storage Case
Recently I bought a box of electronics experimenter junk that was lightly (never?) used. One item that came with it was a pristine clean breadboard. Not my first so I know what these things can get looking like if left out. Dusty, dirty, blech! I had plans to make a nice wooden storage box for it, why I was even looking on my stock shelf to pick wood to begin the project when I spied a piece of plexiglass over there and that got me to thinking, wood is nice but what about plastic, then it struck me, OK maybe it just fell off the shelf, but I had an empty kitty litter bottle over there too, and I looked at it and I was like you know, it could just work ...
So I cut it in half along the seam and here are some pictures so you can judge for yourself. Why these bottles even come with their own latch, the screw lid. Plenty roomy enough to contain the board with a project on it too. Which was one of my original design parameters.
Fast, cheap, easy, effective, what is not to love? OK so maybe it doesn't look the best. It'll do the job though. Beats a grocery bag.
