Introduction: K'nex Ball Machine Separator: Ratchet Arm

This is a separator I made. It has 5 outputs. It can be seen in 'The Nexus' in network 3.

Credit goes to Samuel Hunt (1 Byte Gaming) . He was the one to create it, I have simply remade it.

This version is a bit different from original. This does not use string , and I have redesigned parts of it.

Step 1: Left Support

Simple, sturdy support tower.

Step 2: Back Support

Extra support to keep everything together .

Step 3: Support, Tracks

Additional support and tracks.

Step 4: Right Support Tower

Right side base that will hold the mechanism and more.

Step 5: Mechanism Part 1

The primary axle of the mechnism. Be sure to add the rubber band !

Step 6: Mechanism Part 2

Second part of the mechanism .

Step 7: Arm

The arm that allows the ratchet arm to rotate.

Step 8: Ratchet Arm

The arm which rotates the separator. Don't forget to add a rubber band

Step 9: Separator

This is the separator that chooses the exit path .

Step 10: Exits

4 simple exits. These can be modified to your liking.

Step 11: Return Track

This track will return the ball to the separator .

Step 12: Top Support

Support for the top of the separator.

Step 13: Entrance

This includes a switch that allows the separator to work from a single input track. This step is optional, but I recommend adding it.

Step 14: Complete

Congrats ! You have finished the separator. Make sure the switch is as position as shown .
