Knex Engine

Over view of the engine block, v8 32valves 4 gears and reverse :) been on the little project for ten months now, runs at about 1000rpm and changes gear at full speed. With out the gear box have had it at 3000rpm for about three mins then the knex actually melted in some places and it seized up, she now gets oiled haha

Step 1: Engine

Timing valves and rods with piston, an a pic of the piston with all 4 valves ( grey cogs)

Step 2: Gearbox

Few piccy of the gear box, this was with out a doubt the hardest part on my project, have done maybe ten diff designs, with and with out a clutch, this one seams to hold to power and speed well bt did want one more gear ;)
