Introduction: K'nex Halo Brute Shot- Cannon With Mag
I've decided to post a brief 'ible of this so that (hopefully) someone can work with it and make it awesome. It is essentially a cannon that has a four shot, horizontal mag above the barrel that loads into the chamber and can be fired. The rounds are unique, and made of wheels, and the whole thing uses quite a bit of pieces, but it's manageable. I wanted to keep this documented somewhere before moving on to other projects, so here it is. Also, I post all the pic details in notes. Also, this will more than likely not ever be finished with in-depth photos of the rear piece...hopefully someone will get it or something.
PROS:
It's a bloody cannon with a mag.
It shoots pretty hard- two band chains of two #64's sent a round through cardboard.
Unique trigger and hand placement.
Unique round type.
Ratchet is pretty durable.
Forward swinging grip.
CONS:
It doesn't look too great.
It's probably very uncomfortable for those with smaller hands.
Bands can be hard to pull back.
Loading system isn't 100% reliable, and it needs to be in an upright position when in use.
But keep in mind, this is more of a concept than anything. Hope you enjoy it!
Step 1: Random Bits You'll Use Later.
Let's build some random parts that came off of the gun first, shall we?
1-5: Weird top railing.
6-7: Loader
8-12: Forward grip
13: smaller fake barrel
14: weird thing that goes over one of the fake barrels
15-18: mag pusher
Step 2: The Mag, Part of the Receiver, and Part of Lower Barrel
This is a chunk from the midsection that houses multiple parts.
Step 3: Lower Barrel, Bullet Lock and Wheels.
Title says it all.
Step 4: The Blade, Handle and Trigger(incomplete)
This is not really an instructed step so much as a bunch of pictures to give an idea, since it's kind of crappily built anyways(other than trigger). This is very complex and I died even trying to cover this part, because I sort of just did things randomly all over the place...sorry.
Step 5: Putting It Together.
This is death at the back half to front half connection. I didn't cover it, but you're going to need to stretch, remove, replace and jam pieces together to make it all fit. I don't even know how I managed to do it. My tip is remove the (green) rods, make the connections first, then stuff the rods in somehow afterwards.
Step 6: The Round.
Simple enough.
Step 7: Loading and Firing.
Be safe, and have fun.
This assumes that you have it built, which I doubt. Sorry again...
