Introduction: K'nex SpaceX Falcon 9 Launch Pad

About: Hello, this is s0200311. I have been building with K'nex for years. I have a lot more projects on my website, https://www.andrew.r3tic.net

This instructable will show you, step by step, how to make a launch pad for the K'nex Falcon 9. The pad is purely decorative, and is inspired by the holder for the Falcon 9 rockets. As always, feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Also, sorry if the building techniques seem basic, I made this a while ago.

Supplies

I always like to include a parts list, however, I am bad at counting pieces! If I were you I would take this list as an approximation.

Here is the parts list:

Rods (largest to smallest)

5 grey grey length rods

3 metallic green red length rods

17 dark grey yellow length rods

14 metallic blue blue length rods

45 metallic grey white length rods

38 black green length rods

Connectors (largest to smallest)

3 white 8-point connectors

10 metallic blue 7-point snap on connectors

26 light grey 5-point connectors

42 grey 4-point snap on connectors

4 dark grey 3-point connectors

1 dark brown 2-point straight connector

9 light grey 1-point connectors

Clips/Misc.

13 metallic blue clips

5 tan 2-point short clips

4 black joint strengtheners

4 black y-clips

2 metallic grey blue width spacers

Step 1: Construct Base

This is the base of the pad.

Step 2: Lower Support

This is the very bottom support.

Step 3: Upper Support

This is the skinny vertical support. It is a bit difficult to assemble, but I somehow think you'll manage it.

Step 4: Combine Supports

Here, we combine the upper and lower supports.

Step 5: Final Steps

In this step we combine the supports with the base.

Step 6: Attaching Your Falcon 9 Block Five to the Pad

Here, you can attach your falcon 9 to the stand. (If you don't have a falcon 9 yet, you can make one here.)
