Cardboard Knitting Loom
Intro: Cardboard Knitting Loom
Lately I discovered the world of French knitting and after seeing a couple of videos about it I thought it was easy enough for me to try! I have never knitted before so this was something completely new to me.
I had the yarn but I didn't have any knitting loom so I decided to make them with cardboard!
This is the big round one but you can make any loom you need this way.
It's very quick to do, consider that I was able to make this loom and knit a whole hat in less than a day!
STEP 1:
Cut the cardboard following the lines you have just traced and keep the round strip.
STEP 2:
You will probably need 2 or 3 cones so make more than one.
STEP 3:
You will need 41.
Once you are done cutting them, glue each cone on the round cardboard strip separated by a distance of about 1cm (0.39 inches) using hot glue.
Now you can either paint it or leave it the way it is, your knitting loom is ready to be used!

Thank you for this!! am a knitter and recently have become a loom knitter. I am definitely going to try making my own looms as per your instructions..... Just worried that stitches might "fall out", so I'm possibly going to make the pegs slightly longer. Will let you know how things turn out.

Does it matter if the loom has an even or odd number of pegs?

I am pretty sure it doesn't, look at the chart here, it shows how many pegs are needed depending on what you are going to make.

Bell'ible!
