Introduction: Kool-aid Cookies
Have you ever wanted a cookie with a strong fruity flavor? Well, now you're in luck with this Kool-aid cookie recipe! This recipe makes approximately 3 dozen cookies.
Step 1: Pre-Steps
Preheat your oven to 350 F. Take a cookie sheet and line it with parchment paper. Set aside.
Step 2: Ingredients
For this yummy recipe you will need:
2 1/2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup of softened butter
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 egg
1 packet of Kool-aid any flavor
Step 3: Mixing It Up
Cream together 1 cup of butter and 1 1/2 cups of sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Mix in 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 1 egg and set aside. In a smaller bowl mix together 2 1/2 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Slowly mix in the flour mixture to the butter mixture until dough is, for lack of a better word, doughy.
Step 4: Add in the Kool-aid
Open the Kool-aid packet and pour it over the dough. Knead the dough with your hands until Kool-aid is well mixed and there is no loose powder or powder chunks in the dough (I suggest using plastic gloves for this part if you do not want your hands to be stained.)
Step 5: Making Dough Balls
Take the dough and roll it into half-dollar size balls. Put the balls on the parchment paper 1-2 inches apart.
Step 6: Baking the Cookies
Put the cookies in the oven at 350 F for 10-12 minutes. To make sure your cookies are done, stick a toothpick in them and see if it comes out clean. Once cookies are done, take them out of the oven and let them rest 2-3 minutes on the cookie sheet. Take the cookies of the pan and let them cool.
Eat and Enjoy!

Wouldn't it be easier to mix the Kool-Aid in the other dry ingredients, instead of waiting until after it is already dough?

Well, since there is a lot of vanilla flavors like orange and cherry seemed to work really well. It gave it kind of a orange and cream or cherry and cream type of taste.
