Introduction: Kruche Rogaliki (Crisp Butter Horns)

As my grandmother used to say "pyszny" or delicious! These crisp butter horns are so good you certainly can not eat just one. Simple recipe with excellent results; just as my grandmother and I used to make together.

Step 1: Ingredients/Supplies:

Ingredients -

1 1/2 cups flour

1 cup butter

1/2 cup sliced almonds

2/3 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

powdered sugar

Supplies -

mixing bowl

spoon/measuring cups, teaspoon measuring spoon

hand mixer

rolling pin

baking sheet with silpat

Step 2: Cream

Cream together butter and sugar with hand mixer.

Step 3: Add Almonds and Vanilla.

Gently stir with spoon.

Step 4: Blend in Flour.

Stir till dough forms together.

Step 5: Roll Thin on Lightly Floured Board.

Step 6: Form Into Crescent Shape.

Cut dough into small squares. With each square roll into log and then form into crescent shape.

Step 7: Bake

Place crescent shaped dough onto silpat on cookie sheet. Bake in 375 oven for about 12 minutes.

Step 8: Dust With Powdered Sugar.

Remove from oven and dust with powdered sugar.
