Introduction: LED Fireworks
Two of these strings of LEDs were left over from an earlier project.
As it was almost New Years eve, it seemed to be nice to make LED fireworks with it.
Step 1: Step 1: Material
- 50 LEDS
12mm Diffused Thin Digital RGB LED Pixels (Strand of 25) - WS2801
https://www.adafruit.com/products/322
- Arduino
Arduino nano
https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardNano - Power Adapter 5V 1A
- Medicine box for Arduino nano
- Construction material -
MDF 122 cm / 61 cm / 4 mm

Step 2: Step 2: Make the Frame
Cut the material so that you will get the three pieces as on the picture. The top circle has a radius of 45 cm.
Step 3: Step 3: Insert the LEDS
The first 25 LEDS are for the straight parts. The second 25 LEDS are for the top parts. Use the ordening a shown in the pictures. Connect the two strings together.
Step 4: Step 4: the Code
The code is developed with the Arduino IDE. The library can be dowloaded from Adafruit.

Step 5: Step 5: the Arduino
The Arduino nano is used, but other Arduino are also good.
Green wire is connected to D3
Yellow wire is connected to D2
The LED string is powered directly from the adapter.
Step 6: Turn It On.
Connect all parts, and turn it on.
Have fun!
