Laser Cut Shadow Puppets

Supplies

  1. Thick Cardboard or Basswood (I ordered mine on Amazon)
  2. Skewers (I purchased mine at the Dollar Tree)
  3. Hot Glue

Step 1: Create a File With Shapes You Want to Use

My shapes were Space theamed because thats what the class is into for the moment but I used InkScape (Free version of Adobe) to create an SVG file

Step 2: Upload File to Laser

This will vary based on what software you use or what laser you cut with. I use InkScape (Free Adobe Illustrator) and the Full Spectrum Laser H-series 20x12 at my local library

Step 3: Hot Glue Pieces to Skewers

I used hot glue to attach the wooden cut outs to skewers. I would recomend a craft mat just to make sure you don't damage your table

Step 4: Play!

You're all set to play with your new shadow puppets! Hope you enjoy them as much as a group of PreSchoolers will :)
