Introduction: Locker Closing Reminder (Arduino)

This device is used to remind students at school to close their lockers. Personally, I am that type of person who tends to forget to close my locker door when I'm leaving. This Locker closing reminder works by having a light sensor to control the LED circuit and the LED matrix. When the locker is opened, the light sensor senses the light in the room. The LED marquee will start running with the phrase "Locker Opened!!!" also the LED circuit switching on. They will stop when the locker door is closed where there isn't that much light.

Step 1: Step 1: Prepare Materials

1. MAX7219 LED matrix x2

2. Arduino Leonardo x1

3. Light sensor x1

4. LED circuit x1

5. Wires

6. Resistors

7. Cardboard

8. Hot glue

9. box cutter

10. Charger

Step 2: Step 2: Wiring Up

Use 2 pieces of double wires to extend the Light sensor and the LED circuit. As well as 2 pieces of quadruple wires to extend the LED matrix.

Step 3: Step 3: Codes

Step 4: Step 4: Cardboard Cutting

Total of 6 quadrilaterals. 3 pairs.

Make sure to cut holes for your LED matrix, light sensor, LED circuit, and energy source wire. As the pictures shown above

(Depends on the size of your Arduino board and the box size you want, the hight and width of the boards are up to you. )

Step 5: Step 5: Power On!

Get a charger as your energy source since I don't think it's possible to find a plug in the locker.

Turn it on, place it in your locker, and your Arduino Locker closing reminder is complete!
