Introduction: Lost Wax, Time-lapse Silver Casting
Time lapse of me casting a few rings into silver...
I put a lot of effort into making the video cool,
Its kinda a montage of the process, this is more kinda artsy than a detailed step by step.
I want you to see the process, and i want to help anyone that has any questions,
so feel free to ask whatever you want. :)
This is called the "Lost-Wax" method, and has been around for many many years.

what do you use for the wax and for the mold? is a centrifuge required?

I knew a guy that would pour the metal and have the flask at the end of a 10 foot long rope and he would swing it around his head for a few minutes until the metal solidified. so.... technically no, you don't NEED a centrifuge machine. You can do vacuum flasks, those are a bit different though.

Yes. That is a centrifuge pictured at 1:13 following pouring and more clearly at 1:18.
