Intro: Low Cost Way to Replace a Car Trim.

Years ago I lost the indoor trims for my car. Now I have decided to make a covering to hide the wiring I have placed that the old trims would have hidden.

Read on for my very low cost diy solution.

STEP 1: Cloth and Glue.

Black towel cloth and evostik glue are what I used to make the new coverings.

STEP 2: Cutting the Lengths Necessary.

Using a kitchen scissors I cut the shape needed to cover the pillar.

STEP 3: Applying the Glue and Sticking on the Cloth.

I wiped clean the area that needed to be glued and used a flathead screwdriver to apply the glue. Next I pressed in the edges of the cloth.

STEP 4: Completion!

In addition to the pillar I put cloth on the sealed vents and solar panel. Now the inside of my 1999 car looks a bit more presentable.

I have to ask, what happened to the inside trim?

I had them outside of the car during the installation of wires for my reverse sensor system. Once the job was done and time to put back the trims, my doggies had severely mauled the trim and eaten some of it.
