ME 470 Flow Simulator Tutorial

This is a tutorial on the Flow Simulation package in Solidworks. Unfortunately, the video is slightly shorter than I had hoped. I tried using more of the software, but during filming, SW kept crashing so only a few of the features that were intended to be included worked. Enjoy!

Step 1: Building the Tesla Model

In order to start the project, I first built a model of a Tesla Semi in Solidworks. I assembled the model together with wheels and attached the "van" to the back end, and added a road in order to run the simulation.

Step 2: Flow Simulator

After making my Tesla Model, I learned how to use the flow simulation package in Solidworks. The tutorial takes you step by step on how to navigate the flow simulator and how to make your own simulation. This includes features like surface plots, which shows the pressures around the vehicle due to fluid flow around it, and flow trajectories. The software was very cool to use and would be very useful in engineering practices.
