Introduction: M&M Cupcakes

This cupcake recipe is yummy and a fun twist to a regular chocolate cupcake. It's a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting and M&Ms on top. This recipe is simple and easy for beginners.

Supplies

Chocolate Cupcakes

1/3 cup of Cocoa Powder

1/2 cup of Boiling Water

1 cup of All-Purpose Flour

2/3 cup of Granulated Sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 cup of Vegetable Oil

1/4 cup of Room Temperature Water

2/3 teaspoon of Baking Soda

1/4 teaspoon of Salt

1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

Vanilla Frosting

1/4 cup of Milk

3 cups of Powdered Sugar

1/4 teaspoon of Salt

1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven you will be using to 350ºF (180º). Then line a 12-cup cupcake tin with paper liners.

Step 2: Make the Batter

In a small bowl whisk together boiling water and cocoa powder until smooth. Then in a bigger bowl mix together the flour, eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, water, cocoa mixture, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract.

Step 3: Fill the Cupcake Liners

Get your cupcake tray and fill the liners halfway with batter and put them into the preheated oven. Bake for 18 - 21 minutes.

Step 4: Make the Frosting

Combine all of the ingredients. Milk, powdered sugar, salt, and vanilla extract.

Step 5: Chill the Cupcakes

Take the cupcakes out of the oven and put them into the fridge for 10 minutes.

Step 6: Decorate

Get the cupcakes out of the fridge. Put a little bit of frosting onto each cupcake. Then, put M&Ms on top.
