Introduction: MODULER ORIGAMI FRUITS BOWL

About: CRAFTSMAN

Hi Everyone,

ORIGAMI is a wonderful way to entertain your free time with creative ones. I have done this project in my free time and am happy to share with you how I am complete.

Supplies

  •          Colour A4 sheets with 90 GSM (Various fruit colours and black & white),
  •          Pencil,
  •          Scissors,
  •          Paper clips (6),
  •          Paper knife,
  •          White glue (Fevicol),
  •          Hot glue gun.

Step 1: MODULES-OVERVIEW

The folded papers are called modules and users in project making.

Modules consist of left & right arms and Two pockets.

Step 2: MODULER ORIGAMI-DO'S & DON'T

DO'S:

  • Always remember to, connect modules as rows and form a peripherical shape.
  • In this method you can start your projects from the bottom.
  • Start your projects from the bottom and gradually increase or decrease according to your projects and try to complete them,
  • Insert the left pocket of the third module into the right arm of the first piece,
  • Insert the right pocket of the third piece into the left arm of the second piece,
  • Continue these and create projects.

DON'T:

  • Inserting modules one over one, you'll never get the desired project.

Step 3: INCREASING & DECREASING MODULES

INCREASING MODULES:

  • Place an empty module, in between the modules and close them, due to this you can increase the number of modules and the circumference of the row.

DECREASING MODULES:

  • Insert three arms of the modules in one arm's pocket (2 pockets), do these, and you can decrease the number of modules and circumference of the row.

Step 4: MODULES-FRUITS

  • 2"×1" (inch) rectangular papers are folded and used to create projects as modules.

Step 5: MARKING IN PAPERS

  • Take 1" in lengthwise and 2" in widthwise in A4 sheets,
  • Stack max 10 sheets of A4 sheets and clip them.

Step 6: PAPER CUTTING

  • Cut the paper along the marked lines by using a paper knife,
  • We can get 43 rectangular pieces per sheet.

Step 7: PAPER FOLDING

  1. Half fold in lengthwise,
  2. Half fold in widthwise,
  3. Fold the right side of the paper to the fold line in the middle(Shown in the photo),
  4. Do the same 3rd step on the left side,
  5. Open in the middle, fold down the flaps,
  6. Fold down the right corner,
  7. Fold down the flaps,
  8. Do the 6th & 7th step in left side,
  9. You'll end up with a triangle.

-To start, make about 500 to 600 triangle modules,

-Don't worry about the quantity, you can start folding after a few days, and you'll have accumulated enough pieces.

Step 8: PRE-INSERTION

  • Insert the folded pieces in a column (one over one).
  • Do this, tighten pockets of modules just expand and easier, while inserting in projects.
  • Stack 10 modules in a column, the initial process is completed, and start making our projects.

Step 9: BANANA

  • Start row 1&2 with 4 black modules,
  • Then add 4 black modules and close them with yellow modules, this is 3rd row,
  • In the 4th row, insert the yellow modules,
  • In the 5th row, again add 4 yellow modules and complete the entire row with yellow modules,
  • From the 5th row you can insert modules normally 40th row (or your height of the banana)
  • Every 5 rows, over all gluing is recommended.
  • After 40th row decrease modules then add neck to banana by green modules.

Step 10: ORANGE

  • Start 1st & 2nd row of 7 orange modules,
  • Add 7 empty modules and close them with orange modules, this is 3rd row
  • Insert 4th row with normal method,
  • Add again 7 empty modules and close them by orange modules in 5th row,
  • In the 6th & 7th rows insert modules normal method,
  • In the 8th row add 3 empty modules and close them with orange modules,
  • In 9th row insert modules normal method from 9th row to 14th row insert modules in normal method,
  • After the 14th row is complete, overall glueing is recommended,
  • In 15th-row decrease modules,
  • 16th-row insert modules in the normal method
  • Upto you can insert modules in the normal method,
  • Finish with leaves and flower stalk.

Step 11: STABERRY

  • Start with 1st & 2nd row with 13 modules each,
  • Insert modules in a normal method in 3rd row,
  • Bend it to inside out,
  • Apply ove rall gluing in the next stage,
  • Decrease modules in 4th row,
  • After decreasing, insert modules in the normal method up to the 8th row,
  • Insert modules one next one method (one, gap, one, gap) in the 8th row,
  • Finish leaves with green modules on top.

Step 12: GREAPES

  • Start with row 1&2 with 3 modules each,
  • Increase 3 modules and close them this is row 3,
  • Again add 3 modules and close them in row 4,
  • Insert modules in a normal method in row 5,
  • Reduce modules in Row 6,
  • Insert modules in a normal method in rows 7, 8, 9
  • Like these make grapes in count 11 above and make a bunch of grapes.

Step 13: OVERALL GLUING

  • Gluing in each single modules is a frustrating job and takes a lot of time to complete,
  • I hate this step too,
  • To avoid this, apply overall glueing inside the structure is a good one.

Step 14: MODULES-BOWL

  • 2.5"×1.5" (inch) rectangular papers are folded and used to create projects as modules.
  • Marking and paper-cutting process are the same but paper colour may vary.

Step 15: BOWL MAKING

  • Start 1st & 2nd row with 45 white modules each,
  • Upto 14th row, insert modules in the normal method,
  • After the 14th row, put overall glue,
  • Using black modules, put some design (yours view) work to bowl,
  • finish with white modules, after the design is completed,
  • I did a zig-zag mark with a black, white, black sequence.

Step 16: BASE PLATE(BOWL) MAKING

  • Start 1st & 2nd row with 5 white modules each,
  • Then add 5 more white modules and close them,
  • In the 4th row, insert black modules in the normal method,
  • Then insert white modules in normal method 2 rows,
  • Add 5 white modules and close them with black modules,
  • Insert 2 rows with white modules in the normal method,
  • Add 5 modules and close them,
  • By using black and white modules, gradually increase the diameter of the plate up to fit with the bowl's base,
  • After inserting completed, put over all glue,
  • After the glue's drying fix it with the bowl's base.

Step 17: REQUIRED QUANTITY

To complete this project you'll require,

YELLOW (S):714

BLACK(S):46

ORANGE(S):277

RED(S):163

GREEN(S):35

PURPLE(S):635

WHITE(S):858

BLACK(S):335

TOTAL:3063

This project takes more time to complete but truly (MODULER ORIGAMI) it gives creative entertainment.
