Introduction: Magnetic Key Clip - Never Lose Your Keys Again!

Whenever I have my keys in my pocket, I'm afraid they might fall out, if I move around a lot, so I fixed the problem with 3D printing and some magnets.

Supplies

I used some 5x5x5 mm neodymium magnets and a 3D printed part.

Step 1: Printing the Part

Print the file with your 3D Printer


  • For best results use a flexible material like TPU
  • Use a brim for better bed adhesion

Step 2: Insert the Magnets

Insert the magnets into the holes

You might need to use a hammer to get them into place.

Important: The magnets must have a different polarity when inserted, otherwise they will not attract.

Step 3: Attach the Clip to Your Pocket

Put the ring with your keys onto the "bridge" between the magnets and clamp the clip to some of the fabric of your pocket.
