Introduction: Make It Module-Book Box
This is my first sketch of my project. My project is a mini library/book exchange. It allows lots of space for books, as well as an outdoor seating area. I made this project because reading is very important, and this allows more accessible books as well as a community space.
Supplies
Paper, 1/8 inch thick foam core, glue, craft glue, scissors, ruler, exacto-knife, and AutoCAD
Step 1: Auto Cad Sketch
First you have to design your building in a computer program. This is a top down view made on AutoCAD, showing the whole view of my library. This top view shows the inside layout and patio. Then you design the side views, and plan out how they will fit once it's time to construct them.
Step 2: Print
Then you have to print out your top down floor plan sketches, as well as the side and roof views, so you'll be able to construct your project.
Step 3: Glue
Now you have to take your printed plans, and using a glue stick put glue all over the back.
Step 4: Paste
Now using your freshly glued plans, paste them onto your 1/8 inch thick foam core.
Step 5: Cut
Now you cut out your glued floor plans using an exacto-knife.
Step 6: Glue (again)
Now you take your cut out foam core pieces, and using craft glue, put glue on the edges of your pieces wherever they will connect to each other.
Step 7: Construct
Now place together the glued sides, forming your library. You will have to hold it together for a little, to make sure you get a good connection.
Step 8: Finish
Now once you glue all the parts together, you have your model!
