Intro: Make Pocketmods (little Booklets) With MS Word

These little books are so useful!

I use them for revision notes for exams, but you can use them for anything really.

You can make them on the Pocketmod website: http://www.pocketmod.com/v2/
But I made a Word template to customise it a bit more.

If you want, you could make these on the reverse side of used paper to recycle it - hooray for green-ness (just make sure it doesn't have anything important on it)

I've entered this in the Pocket-Sized contest so please vote!

(P.S. This is my first Instructable)

STEP 1: Making the Template

This is the easy bit because I've already done it for you.

Simply replace 'Front Cover', 'Page 1' etc. with whatever you want to put in; pictures, text, calendars, or just blank spaces / lines for writing / drawing.

STEP 2: Print and Fold!

Print out your completed template.

Cut and fold as according to instructions below.

If you're stuck, watch the video guide:

STEP 3: And You're Done!

Now use for whatever you like!

I use this Duct Tape Cover to store / protect booklets:

I suppose this method is intended to recycle some draft papers. If someone wants to use both sides, one needs to staple the middle of the folds and cut the sheets. - Suponho que este método tem a intenção de reciclar papeis de rascunho. Se alguém quiser usar os dois lados, precisa grampear na dobra do meio e cortar as folhas presas.
Nice one , but how to you use both side of the page ?
Awesome , thanks for the template

This works great. Downloaded just fine.

Biology teachers think alike! I came here to make one of these for my bio class. Heh heh

I'd like to download the template. It doesn't appear to work - even when I have logged in. Anywhere else I could get the file please?
The ".doc" file won't save or open for me. Haven't been able to contact the author. Does someone else have the file, please? Thanks.
Thanks! ive always liked the pocketmods but found them very limiting, now i can make all the crap i want!
the website takes me to "go daddy".com!?
wait.. I forgot something. PLEASE REPLY!!
Thank you for posting the template.  It is perfect for A4.  I had to a little bit of modification for Letter size, but it was pretty easy.
This is great. I've made a couple for my daughter to play with since last night. I used a glue stick and glue the pages - it makes them more robust. I'm going on vacation soon and plan to make one with info for my travels (mini maps, currency conversion, people info, etc) as well as note taking.
Thanks! Great to know you like these! Gluing them is a good idea - I would have done but I didn't have any glue. Enjoy your vacation!
I use these on a regular basis as a revision tool, except my classes make their own booklets from plain paper and then write in the information they need by hand.
when i make these i print on two side of the paper then cut and staple the pages to make a better note book one that wont make me freak when i forget to take it out of my pants on laundry day.
That's a good idea - but I find this quicker and easier. I might try it though as some of the text has to be really tiny to fin in.
