Introduction: Make a Mini Grill
This Instructable will show you how to make a miniature grill out of very simple household items. This grill is pocket sized. It can grill and even roast marshmallows. It is very easy and requires barely anything.
Step 1: Gather the Materials
Materials you will need:
1 small tin
1 coat hanger
a piece of sandpaper
small scraps of wood
a drill
Step 2: Cut the Coat Hangers
The coat hangers will make the grate over the grill. First, sand ALL the paint off the coat hangers with sand paper. This is very important. Then measure and cut the coat hangers so that when you put them in the tin, the ends stick out.
Step 3: Drill the Holes in the Tin
Take your tin and mark where you want your metal grate to go. Then drill holes about the size of the coat hanger.
Step 4: Put the Grate On
Put the coat hanger bars into the holes you just drilled. For help, look at the picture.
Step 5: Finish Up
If the bars slide around, you can wedge them in place with pieces of wire (optional). You want to leave room so you can put the wood scraps in. Once the wood is in, your done. Go try your new grill!

You could possibly use the crumbles from the bottom of a back of charcoal briquettes, or break up a couple of chunks, instead of using wood scraps.

Boyscout popcorn tins, tuna fish cans, vegetable cans...any canned food would be good I'd bet. The depth of a deeper object, I imagine, would give you more room to cook at different heats levels , too...possibly . You could use cardboard layered on the inside with aluminum foil, also ( if do not have a tin to use). This ible ( and any like it ) would be a good addition to any survival kit , I like it, good job :)
