Introduction: Making a Tripwire for a Survival Trap

Hi!! In this instructable I am going to teach you how to make a Highly reliable Tripwire for ANY wilderness survival trap (not including deadfall traps).
This design utilizes the use of my Miniturized Closing Pin for Mini-Skydiving rigs. so if you havent seen this instructable you might want to go and review it so you know how to make the Closing Pin.

Step 1: Materials
The materials you are going to need are relatively in-expensive. Depending on where you live, the anchor attachment point may have to be redesigned out in the field.
1) 20' of Kite Line (braided) or Spyder Wire (Strength depends on your Game).
2) A few Mini-Closing pins.
3) Pliars (Just in Case)
4) your survival trap
5) Trip Line Anchor

Step 2: Knots
I personally for this rig only use the Archer's Knot and Overhand loop. its simple and strong. refer to the pictures on how to tie these knot. it will be used for at least the Pin's end of the line.
Now the reason for the line being 20' is that you may be in a place where the nearest tree is 15' away. Not only that, but you might need the other 5' for some other component of your trap (Which you will).
The other knot you use (for the anchor point attachment) is up to you. i use a figure-eight on a bight with a safety knot so it doesnt come apart when the trap gets triped.

Step 3: Assembling
1) First cut a 2' section of the string, fuse the ends, and tie on the Bear Claw closing pin using the Archer's knot.
2) Tie on the straight closing pin your then going to tie an Archer's knot in the string.
3) Take the straight pin side of the string and shorten it ever so slightly.
4) Next you will take the other much longer section of string and tie one of any of the known loop knots, or bight knots and attach the wire as shown in the last picture.

Step 4: Storage
In order to keep this tripwire functional and virtually maintainence free you need to store it.
In order to do this, take the two parts apart as illustrated.
Next coil them up, then put them into a plastic jewelry ziplock baggie.
and there you are!!

Step 5: Your Done!!
