Making a Paper Collage

Making a paper collage is really fun and all it takes is a little creativity!

Supplies

• cardboard (to make a solid base)
• paint
• paper
• something to color with (colorpencils, markers, ect.)
• construction paper
• stickers/paper tape

Step 1: Prepairing the Base

First I cut my cardboard shoe box into a small square, but you can make it any size you want, I painted mine purple and white, because I knew that you might be able to see the paint below the paper, so I wanted it to look cool.

Step 2: Getting the Pieces Ready.

Next I used my colorful construction paper and really just cut out/tore the random shapes I wanted. You can plan this out but it's fun to just do whatever and see how that turns out. In my opinion going into this without an idea is a good way to get a more unique design.

Step 3: The Final Product

In the end the original paint layer was visible, that may not be ideal for you but I like the way it looks. I used my colorful paper tape to write my name, as well as add a little more detail. Overall, I love the way it turned out.
