Step 1: Picking a Bird

My inspiration for this bird is a bird that used as a gift for senior imagineers when they left the company

Step 2: Getting a 3D Model Made

The first step is having a 3D modeler recreate the bird I used Fiverr to outsource the cosmetics and them make it hollow so I could model the insides with tinkercad

Step 3: Creating the Mechanics

I used to tinkercad to model the supports for two pneumatic cylinders I'm using a rotary cylinder for the neck and a small one-way cylinder for the mouth

Step 4: Finished Product

This is the finished product printed in Black pla plastic the final movements are head turn and mouth.
