Introduction: Marble-ous Marble Maze

The goal of this project was to make a fun marble maze that could be placed on a desk and look nice while also serving a small purpose. I decided on a name plate because I liked the thought of being able to have a marble travel around a center object such as a name. The process of making this was very fun and I hope my instructable inspires you to make your own marble-ous marble maze!

Supplies

- CAD program (I used one called OnShape)
- 3D printer

Step 1: Choose Your Size!

The first step is to choose the size you want your name plate to be, I decided to make mine 10in x 3.5in

Step 2: Form Your Box!

In this step you extrude your box, I made mine 1in tall
Next you use the shell command with a 0.125in wall

Step 3: Just Extrude, Don't Be Rude!

In this step you place your name in the center and extrude it so it is level with the top of the box.
Next, draw a 3/16in hole in two of the sides then extrude it so it makes a hole in the wall of the plate.

Step 4: Make Your Maze!

Place a grid on the face of your maze and cut out boxes so a marble can make its way through to each wall hole.
After you make your perfect maze extrude it so it is 1/16in shorter then the name.

Step 5: Make It Bubbly (optional)

Use a fillet tool and round some edges to make it look a-MAZE-ing
