Introduction: Measuring Cups Using Tinkercad Codeblocks
Hi everyone! Today we are going to make measuring cups using Tinkercad Codeblocks. During my homeschooling experience, I have done a lot of cooking. When I'm cooking, I often run out of measuring cups. My assignment was to create measuring cups using Tinkercad Codeblocks. In this Instructable, the hole means the part of your cup where you put your ingredients. Here are the measuring cups we are going to make!
Step 1: Writing the Code
Here is how we are going to write the code to build our measuring cups. When you watch the video please go to the video settings, then quality and pick the best one. Copy my code from the video into a new Tinkercad Codeblocks.
Step 2: Sizes and Preferences
When I cook I need various sizes of measuring cups.
To change the size of your cup in the code, change the variables volume of the hole and diameter of the hole and the text. Look at my photo to see what numbers to put for your variables. For the diameter of the hole you can put any number between 60 and 100. The closer your number is to 100 the wider and flatter your cup is. The closer your number is to 60 the skinnier and taller your cup is.
Then when you run the code, it will make a measuring cup with the volume of the hole, diameter of the hole, text and colour you wanted. It will also calculate the correct height for your measuring cup.
Step 3: Finished!
Now you are done making your measuring cups! If you would like to 3D print them, you can export it right out of Tinkercad Codeblocks. If you are going to print your measuring cups, make sure to use food safe plastic.
