Introduction: Microfreak Stand / Small Synth Stand / Laptop Stand
Desktop stand for a small synthesizer or laptop. The plans are sized for an Arturia Microfreak. Plans can be adjusted as required.
Supplies
Scrap 1/2" plywood
3/8" dowel rod
Wood glue
Wood finishing oil
Tools:
Jig saw
Hand saw
Drill with 3/8" bit
Sandpaper
Step 1: Cut Out Plywood
Print out PDF of plans. Trace onto 1/2" plywood and cut out with a jig saw. Drill 3/8" holes as indicated on plans. Sand cut edges smooth.
For a lower stand, remove an inch or so from the vertical rise of the plans.

Step 2: Cut and Glue Dowel
Cut dowel to desired length. For a Microfreak 11 3/4"" works well to not interfere with the rubber pads on the bottom of the Microfreak. Glue dowel into plywood.
Step 3: Finishing
Apply wood oil or urethane are desired. I like walnut oil.
