Introduction: Mincraft PE Floating Island
Welcome to my third instructable and this time it is not about lego it's about minecraft, minecraft PE that is. And today I'm going to show you how to make your own floating island! It may not be the most realistic but it is pretty good. Hope you enjoy!
Step 1: The Base
First you want to make a 1x1 base and make it about 15-20 blocks from the limit (see picture) then destroy every block except for the top. See the picture for what it should look like.
Step 2: The Island
The floating block should almost look like a tiny square. Build off of that square and make it bigger like for example, 1, 9, 16, etc. until you have eight layers of rock now, the island can be hollow or it can be filled, it dosent matter. (See picture for 8 layers) then finally add a layer of grass on top.
Step 3: The Decoration (Floral)
This is how I decorate my island but you can decorate it any way you want. So if you want you decorate it differently, then basically you're finished and have fun. If you want to decorate it my way then continue on with the tutorial. First off, bone meal is GREAT for instant nature. Place that down as many times as you want. Second, place down some trees, maybe one in every corner and if you have some extra height maybe a small house!
Step 4: Congratulations!
Congratulations! You have fully-finished your floating island in minecraft pe! Hope you enjoy, and thank you for checking my tutorial!

I put sheep and rabbits on mine then I would go to ground level and hold a carrot and got a lot of rabbit hide and mean things

It looks very nice. I'm building mine right now. It is easy to memorize so I don't have to keep on going back to the instructions.

just wondering did you get this out of the mincraft construction handbook because it has this same tutorial.

Press LftShft and "sneak" around backwards. When you do that you can scoot out over the edge of the abyss. That gives you an angle to place blocks on the sides of the floating blocks.
Don't open the inventory while hanging over the edge, that resets the sneak, and you might plummet to your death. If you must open the inventory, you should make sure your feet are on something solid.

I know you weren't talking to me, and it was 3 months ago, but I think that LeafsNation12 has the Pocket Edition which doesn't allow you to sneak. Although when I'm on the computer, I'm always sneaking everywhere! lol

Well that explains why it wasn't included in the instructable!

Heh! I see! I didn't know that. It's enough of a time killer for me on my computer. Still, with all the holes, trees, cliff sides, mountains, and ledges, it seems like the "sneak" option is a given. I can't tell you how many times I have dropped from the sky, or into a lava lake in the nether...

Yep, I don't know how people survive without it! All my worlds would be a mess if I didn't have it because I would have died so many times :)

trying to help. Try getting rid of a 5 of the bottom layers then add some random spikes and bumps to add to a natural look. Also maybe get rid of some of the ground as t o look like it came out of the ground

It dosent take a brain professor to build that

It should have more of a natural look

Hmmm... You should make the bottom skinnier, and add some depth, Like vines, and water. Also try to not make it so blocky. But this is pretty good to start off with.
