Introduction: Mini Butterscotch Scrolls

This variation on a basic scone recipe is quick and easy to make and super satisfying for those with a sweet tooth.

Serve with cream as a warm dessert.

Step 2: Collect Dough Ingredients

100ml milk

1 cup self-raising flour

20 grams butter

Step 3: Prepare Dough

Set oven to 200C.

Sift flour into a medium bowl.

Dice butter into small cubes.

Rub butter into flour using fingertips, until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Step 4:

Pour milk into flour mixture.

Mix to dough.

Step 5:

Sprinkle flour on bench.

Knead dough lightly.

Step 6:

Roll dough into a circular shape, 1/2 cm thick.

Place on board for later.

Step 7: Collect Filling Ingredients

30 grams butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

Step 8:

Put butter and sugar into a small bowl.

Step 9:

Cream butter and sugar until smooth.

Step 10:

Spread butterscotch mixture evenly over the dough.

Step 11:

Roll dough.

Step 12:

Cut dough into 8 even pieces.

Step 13:

Arrange scrolls on a greased baking tray.

Step 14:

Brush with milk.

Bake at 200C for 12-15 minutes until golden.

Step 15:

Cool and serve with cream.
