Every time we buy an appliance or electronic I'm excited to see what parts of the box or packaging I'll upcycle.

This craft is one of those experiments, and I love how it turned out! I used mainly a foam that came protecting a laptop. Even if you don't have this exact material I hope it will inspire you to see other jewels hidden in scrap material.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

X-acto knife

Nail polish remover

Two popsicle sticks

Four skinny sticks

Glue gun

Step 2: ​Remove the Letters

If the foam has marks on it. Use a little bit of nail polish remover to take off the paint

Step 3: Cut

This material is so easy to cut with an x-acto knife. I trimmed it until I had the shape I was looking for.

Step 4: Shape the Popsicle Sticks

I boiled water in a pan. I put the sticks inside and let them boil for 15 minutes.

Then I took them out carefully and slowly tucked inside two identical glasses.

I waited 4 hours, because I wanted a soft curve. If you want it more pronounced just let them stay inside the glasses for 24 hours.

Step 5: Make the Legs

I cut four sticks and glue them forming an x.

Then glue them to the curved popsicle sticks.
Finally I made some cuts in the bottom of the seat where I put hot glue and inserted the legs. Then I joined with another stick then legs between both x, as shown in the last picture. This makes the structure more stable.

And we're done!
